Microsoft Outlook 2007 email configuration

The settings that are required to configure your Outlook 2007 client are are outlined below, however if you wish to follow the tutorial please do.

  • Your Name: Your Name
  • Email Address: This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it
  • Incoming Server (POP): mail.yourdomain.com
  • Outgoing Server (SMTP): mail.yourdomain.com
  • Outgoing Server (SMTP): requires Authentication


1. Open Microsoft Outlook 2007. Go Tools, Account Settings.

 2. Click New and select "Microsoft Exchange, POP3, IMAP or HTTP". Click next

3. Select Manually Configure my accounts. Select the "Internet Email" option.

4. Type your details into the boxes provided.

5. Select the "More Settings" button the right. Go to the Server tab, and make sure "My outgoing server requires authentication"

6. Click OK. Click OK again, then Finish!

7. You're done!
