Email Accounts in Entourage

This guide will take you through the steps needed to create a new Small Business Hosting email account in Entourage.

 

The main account information that you will require are as follows:

  • Your Name: Your Name
  • Email Address: This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it
  • Incoming Server (POP): mail.yourdomain.com
  • Outgoing Server (SMTP): mail.yourdomain.com
  • Outgoing Server (SMTP) requires Authentication

 

1. To start, open Entourage, go to the Tools menu and select Accounts.

2. When the "Internet Accounts" windows appears, click on the Mail tab. Click the New button and select the POP account. Click OK

4. In order to ensure you can send emails, you need to enable SMTP authentication. Click the button labelled "Click here for advanced sending options". Tick the box marked "SMTP server requires authentication" and ensure that you "Use same settings as receiving mail server", as below:
